Plastic corrugated products that are kind to people and the planet

Reusable containers made from plastic corrugated material

Manufacturing plastic corrugated reusable containers and protective materials

Daiichi Omiya processes plastic corrugated cardboard, known as “Pladan”, to manufacture and sell logistics boxes and protective materials. This product is adopted across a wide range of industries, including automotive, electronics, and precision equipment manufacturers, as a reusable box for transporting products and components between factories and sites.
The company has established an integrated production system capable of handling everything from design to processing, printing, and assembly. It also places emphasis on accepting orders for custom-made products and developing original products.

Developing high-hygiene products utilising advanced processing techniques

‘Pladan’ consists of a sheet material made from polypropylene (PP), featuring a hollow structure similar to paper-based corrugated cardboard. It comprises resin sections and hollow sections, resulting in non-uniform material properties such as rigidity. Consequently, achieving dimensional accuracy and high-quality finishing requires significant technical expertise.
The company has developed over 20 types of proprietary production equipment to date. It has also honed its technical capabilities by processing materials beyond PP, such as polyethylene and polycarbonate, as well as tackling challenging materials like low-foam PP and thick plastic sheets.
The company's original product, the ‘Do Cellar Box’, is a free-size box utilising low-foam PP. The anti-static layer on the surface of the low-foam PP suppresses static electricity generation, making it resistant to dust accumulation. Furthermore, as low-foam PP lacks hollow sections, it offers high strength. This has enabled supply to industries such as food and pharmaceuticals, where conventional plastic sheet products presented challenges in terms of hygiene.

Strengths

Foldable ‘FC-3’

As of July 2025, the company holds 32 patents relating to processing technology. Among these is a patented heat-welding technology that prevents ‘bottom sagging’ by thermoforming the edges of the base plate into an L-shaped structure to enhance strength. This is applied to the large folding box ‘FC-3’, enabling the storage of tall items. Moreover, it is lighter and less costly than conventional products, receiving positive feedback from customers that it is easy to handle, even for female and elderly workers.

Daitec Box SD using low-foam PP

The company has upheld ‘manufacturing products that are kind to people and the planet’ as its corporate philosophy, engaging in the development and manufacture of environmentally conscious products since its founding. The ‘Daitec Box SD’, a product using low-foam PP, is characterised by its recyclability without the use of screws or adhesives. The ‘Yōjō-kun PP Series’ protective materials, utilising over 60% recycled content, offer high durability and can be reused repeatedly. They also have the advantage of not emitting toxic gases when incinerated after use.

Message from President

CEO
Takamine Matsuoka

For half a century, Daiichi Omiya has dedicated itself to promoting the use of plastic sheet products. Whilst plastic sheet garnered attention as a new material, its challenging processing led many companies to abandon development. We independently developed over 20 types of processing machinery, meeting customer demands through a wide range of products. Drawing upon our longstanding experience, all our employees will continue to work together to contribute to society.

We are committed to manufacturing products under rigorous quality control.
