Excellent Company of OSAKA SMEs in Manufacturing Award
This award recognizes small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises based in Osaka Prefecture that demonstrate advanced technological capabilities and excellence in QCD (quality, cost, and delivery), are well positioned to gain strong recognition in the marketplace, and make meaningful contributions to the revitalization of Osaka’s industry and the local community.
Selection criteria
The Excellent Company Award is evaluated based on the criteria listed on the right.
Through the application process, companies are also able to analyze their current situation and confirm their own strengths.
The Excellent Company Award is determined primarily by the Technology Evaluation (40 points) and the QCD Evaluation (30 points), and companies scoring 50 points or higher out of 100 are selected.
Details of Promotional Activities under This Program
Use of the “Takumi” Logo for Corporate Promotion
Companies certified as “Takumi Companies” under this program are permitted to use the Takumi logo in their promotional activities to position themselves as leading manufacturing enterprises in Osaka.
Promotional Support Provided by Osaka Prefecture for Certified “Takumi Companies”
As part of its policy initiatives, Osaka Prefecture supports the promotional activities of companies certified as “Takumi Companies.” We provide comprehensive assistance for market expansion,
including support for participation in major trade fairs as well as subsidies for individual company exhibitions.
Support for Business Connections and Matching Opportunities
MOBIO in Higashi‑Osaka hosts one of Japan’s largest permanent manufacturing exhibitions, featuring a special showcase titled “Leading Manufacturing Companies in Osaka,” where Takumi‑certified companies are widely introduced. MOBIO also provides networking opportunities through programs such as MOBIO‑Café and Café Meetings, creating new connections among manufacturing companies.
