NAKAUMI INDUSTRIES possesses rolling technology accumulated over 60 years since its founding, handling metal processing products in general, primarily construction screws. All domestic and overseas bases hold ISO 9001 certification, and the company possesses an in-house system capable of handling all aspects of trade operations. Its aspiration is to become the ‘world's leading screw manufacturer’. Domestically, it has established a multi-variety, small-lot production system capable of handling various sizes and specialised processing. Furthermore, its Vietnam factory serves as a base for stable, large-lot production matching domestic quality standards, driving its global expansion.
NAKAUMI INDUSTRIES manufactures full-thread screws, which feature threads along their entire length, alongside partial-thread screws and double-thread screws. It also produces chemical anchors used for fixing and reinforcement in construction and civil engineering. NAKAUMI INDUSTRIES can handle a wide range of screw diameters from M3 to M64/W1/4 to W1-1/2, including long-length items up to 4,000 mm. The company also possesses strengths in manufacturing for specialised fields, such as knurled screws featuring machined anti-slip patterns. While knurling is typically achieved through cutting, Imahori has established a technology using thread rolling to process long lengths continuously and efficiently.
Furthermore, the company possesses in-house facilities capable of diverse machining processes including cutting, drilling, bending, and welding. It flexibly accommodates diverse requirements such as chamfering, notching, threaded end faces, L-bends, R-bends, and U-bends.
Screw precision grades undergo strict quality control using go/no-go gauges. Beyond the common 8g (equivalent to former JIS Grade 3) for architectural full-threaded screws, it also manufactures 6g (equivalent to former JIS Grade 2), securing orders for automotive components and similar applications.
NAKAUMI INDUSTRIES is driving operational reforms through IoT and digital transformation. In April 2022, the company launched its proprietary system “nakanaka”, which visualises the entire process from quotation and ordering online to logistics and delivery. Customers can check stock levels, quotations, and orders 24 hours a day, anytime and anywhere. The flow from order receipt to delivery is also made transparent, facilitating progress management and fostering customer reassurance and trust.
NAKAUMI INDUSTRIES supports stable customer procurement through hybrid production: domestic facilities swiftly handling special sizes, prototypes and small batches, alongside overseas facilities excelling in stable mass production of large volumes and cost efficiency. Nevertheless, the challenge of responding to increasingly detailed needs is never-ending. Within the group, NAKAUMI INDUSTRIES CO., LTD. has expanded beyond electroplating to include press processing in recent years. Furthermore, it is strengthening its inventory strategy to broaden the range of products available for immediate delivery, including efforts to secure stock of U-bolts.
