KATSUKAWA HEAT INDUSTRY specialises in manufacturing industrial heat exchangers for heating, cooling, and air conditioning applications. The company primarily produces fin-tube type heat exchangers, which offer high heat transfer performance and enable compact design. KATSUKAWA HEAT INDUSTRY products are utilised in the manufacturing processes of various industrial goods, including automobiles, food, pharmaceuticals, electrical appliances, and construction materials. The company also boasts a strong track record of supplying equipment for environmental facilities. It focuses on developing systems that efficiently utilise waste heat from factories, waste treatment plants, and power stations, as well as renewable energy sources such as geothermal power.
The design of heat exchangers demands a profound understanding of the four fundamental disciplines: materials science, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and mechanical engineering. KATSUKAWA HEAT INDUSTRY's strength lies in the experience and expertise cultivated since its founding in 1934, with its accumulated design data and troubleshooting knowledge forming a powerful intellectual asset. We receive numerous requests from corporate production and development departments and university research institutions, leading to a strong track record, including utilisation in the manufacturing processes of products commonly encountered in daily life.
Furthermore, KATSUKAWA HEAT INDUSTRY's strength lies in its ability to provide finned tubes tailored to the customer's intended purpose and application. The company possesses proprietary processing equipment specifically designed for finned tubes. Highly skilled personnel, including certified welders and experts proficient in manufacturing and processing, handle the entire process from design to production.
Furthermore, we possess the mobility to conduct on-site surveys and meetings anywhere in Japan, and can also advise on matters such as piping and ductwork around heat exchangers, and energy saving for factories and production lines. Our strengths lie in our extensive delivery track record, design capabilities, and field experience, enabling us to provide solutions considering load calculations and safety. We can manage the entire process, from product supply to installation and commissioning, as an integrated package.
KATSUKAWA HEAT INDUSTRY's ‘LS Fin Tube’ is manufactured by spirally pressing and processing thin aluminium sheets onto metal heat transfer tubes. It combines the advantages of both Erofins, which allow free design of tube arrangement and spacing, and plate fins, which provide a large heat transfer area, while offering equivalent heat transfer efficiency to integrated fin-and-tube heat dissipation tubes. Furthermore, it employs flat fins in its fin configuration to reduce dust adhesion. A key feature is the ability to accommodate orders from a single unit within as little as one week.
It has received favourable reviews for enabling weight reduction and cost savings through improved fin tube performance, particularly in drying lines where large numbers of heaters are used. It has also been selected for the ‘Higashiosaka Brand’, which recognises outstanding products from within Higashiosaka City.
Heat exchangers are devices that efficiently transfer heat between fluids of differing temperatures, such as gases and liquids. To ensure safety, many fall under the Pressure Vessel Construction Standards. Particularly, the machining and welding of the header section, where the heat transfer tubes converge, requires high levels of technical skill and experience. KATSUKAWA HEAT INDUSTRY obtained ISO 9001 certification in 2012, strengthening its quality management system. It also strives to nurture young welding technicians to ensure the succession of technical skills. The company fully covers the costs for employees to obtain national qualifications, thereby establishing an environment where staff can thrive long-term.
