TK Welding Factory offers a comprehensive range of welding services, from standard techniques such as semi-automatic welding, TIG welding, and arc welding, to specialised processes including high-difficulty copper welding, brazing, and gas welding. The company also handles diverse sizes, from small components that fit in the palm of your hand to large, heavy items requiring 2-tonne cranes.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the company leveraged its processing expertise to commence manufacturing cookware such as frying pans and pots, thereby expanding into the B2C market. Its commitment to Japanese manufacturing and high technical capabilities spread by word of mouth, and its products are now sold both domestically and internationally.
TK Welding Factory has a strong reputation for welding round objects such as hydraulic cylinders and Shinkansen wheels. These components require high strength to withstand pressure and excellent airtightness, leading to frequent consultations regarding modifications and repairs that other companies find difficult to handle. By selecting the optimal filler material according to the workpiece's material and strictly controlling welding temperatures, the company achieves a high-quality finish.
According to one welding robot manufacturer, automated robotic welding of round objects remains challenging as the process involves rotating the workpiece on a machine during welding. Whilst robot adoption is progressing in the welding industry due to a shortage of young talent, welding conditions vary with even slight changes in temperature or humidity, meaning experience remains crucial. Against this backdrop, the company's meticulous welding technique, where each piece is finished with care, has earned the trust of its customers.
Representative Kenzo Mizouchi holds a gold medal from the 56th Sakai City Welding Competition held in 2020, in the semi-automatic carbon dioxide arc welding category. The company handles a wide range of welding, from general to specialised applications, and works with various materials, from common iron to special alloys. Much of the work is carried out manually. Customers trust him, stating: ‘We can request welding that other companies refused,’ ‘The finish is quick, saving us time,’ and ‘There are zero defects during post-welding machining.’
TK Welding Factory has established its own B2C brand, leveraging the welding expertise cultivated through its B2B operations. Its main products include cooking utensils such as iron plates and frying pans, alongside wood-burning stoves. These are crafted by hand using Japanese-made materials. The cooking utensils utilise specialised steel, renowned for its excellent heat conductivity, which enhances the flavour of ingredients and has garnered acclaim.
To raise awareness of Sakai's craftsmanship, a viewing area has been created within the factory. Through workshops and product demonstrations, the company shares the joy of manufacturing.
