SAKAIGAWA INDUSTRY is a specialist manufacturer of heat exchangers, excelling in the design and manufacture of fin-tube type units. Primary applications include industrial machinery such as dryers and dehumidifiers, and air conditioning systems for ships and painting areas. They are adopted across diverse manufacturing sites including film, battery, chemical, and non-woven fabric production. Approximately 3,000 units are manufactured annually, the vast majority being custom-made. The company holds approximately 30% of the industry share and maintains the top position in sales revenue.

Design and manufacturing capabilities integrated with capability calculation programmes

SAKAIGAWA INDUSTRY's heat exchangers are all custom-made to order to guarantee performance to customer specifications. To this end, we have developed our own capacity calculation programme capable of proposing heat exchangers that meet required specifications such as heat exchange capacity, structure, pressure resistance, and durability. This programme is underpinned by the experience and know-how cultivated since our founding. We respond to customer needs through design expertise linked to this programme and manufacturing capabilities enabling short lead times. Concurrently, the company has advanced the performance enhancement of existing products and the development of new products through repeated performance testing and verification using various heat exchangers for capability testing.
Regarding fins, a critical component of fin-and-tube heat exchangers, the company reviewed aspects such as shape, pitch, and the tightness of the heat transfer tubes. Through accumulated performance testing and other efforts, it achieved a significant increase in heat exchange efficiency. In August 2023, a patent was obtained under the title ‘Heat Dissipation Fins and Heat Exchanger Equipped with Heat Dissipation Fins’. The aforementioned capacity calculation programme undergoes repeated validity checks, and we continue to refine the technology aiming for further improvements in heat exchange efficiency.

Strengths

SAKAIGAWA INDUSTRY has jointly developed a rapid-filling hydrogen storage alloy tank enabling storage in urban buildings. The hydrogen storage alloy utilises a new material capable of storing hydrogen at 1,000 times its own volume at ambient temperature and medium pressure, whilst maintaining high safety standards by being non-flammable. Conventional hydrogen storage alloy tanks using traditional materials exhibit slow hydrogen absorption and release rates. However, by leveraging the company's heat exchange technology, rapid absorption and release have been achieved.

Heat exchangers are constantly used under harsh conditions, demanding advanced techniques for welding pressure-bearing sections. Consequently, SAKAIGAWA INDUSTRY focuses intensely on improving its manufacturing technologies, actively pursuing relevant qualifications to enhance its core welding expertise. The company now employs two Class 1st Grade Certified Welding Professional, three Class 2st Grade Certified Welding Professional, four Special Boiler Welders, and one Ordinary Boiler Welder. Our Head Office Factory and Second Factory, both certified as Factory Authorized for Production of Boilers and Class 1 Pressure Vessels, supply high-quality heat exchangers.
